What it says it does
SHINE: SUPPORT AND HELP IN EDUCATION
SHINE supports educational projects that work primarily with disadvantaged children and young people (4 to 18 years) across the North West, North East and Yorkshire and Humber regions. We provide grants to fund educational programmes which give these young people the extra support and attention they need to learn the basic but essential tools for life.

Income less expenditure is arithmetic, not a judgement of efficiency. Capital spending, restricted funds, grants, reserves, staffing models and reporting periods can make a superficial comparison misleading. Open the filed accounts before reaching a conclusion.
